The for me, long overdue step in the Internet follows after more than 30 years as a passionate underwater and nature photographer with analogue and digital cameras from Pentax and Nikon, and countless images in magazines, journals and books, as well as in numerous own articles and books with this website now. As a classic “Field, forest and meadow biologist” I tried always to document the variety and the beauty of nature surrounding us and to hold in impressive photos. It was important to “collect not only so many types” as possible, but to document many aspects of their lives of any type even me: their Habitat, their behavior, their life cycle, their variability, its biological characteristics and above all also their individual and unique beauty!
Over the years as a very extensive image archive of underwater and nature photos emerged with several thousand different species from many regions of the world, which shows a small part at this point, and that will be expanding in the coming months and years. In addition, small text posts be set in loose succession which issues you need to know or interesting, as for example under the heading “Allow, my name is…”, in which the origin of the curious to the part names of individual species or groups.
