Africa is one of the conti­nents of the Earth. His area of 30.2 million km² is equi­valent to about 22% of the planet’s total land area, it has a popu­lation of good 1.1 billion people (mid 2014).[2] It is both for expansion as to popu­lation of the second largest con­tinent after Asia. Almost all African States are members of the United Nations and the African Union. The con­tinent is pre­do­mi­nantly rural, and charac­te­rized by high fer­tility rates, the degree of urbanization increases since the second half of the 20th century. Century but strong too. Some African cities are among the world’s largest metro­po­litan areas, including Cairo, Lagos, Kinshasa, Johan­nesburg and Luanda.
